It’s been a while since I’ve done any jewelry customization, so I’d like to share this project with you.

As the title suggests, I received a request for a customization of a pendant from “Fred,” a brand favored by celebrities.

This time, I had two types of aftermarket diamond customization done.

The size is medium. The request is for an all-diamond design, with a budget of up to ¥150,000 per piece.

The diamonds used were VS2, G color, with a total weight of 0.35 ct.

Customization Fee: ¥140,000

Another item is a medium-sized vertical pendant as well.

This pendant is also medium-sized and features a 0.25 ct diamond set in VS1 clarity and G color. Customization fee: ¥130,000

As expected, setting a diamond really adds a touch of luxury, doesn't it? 😃

I used diamonds that are rated in the upper-middle range for both color and clarity, but I think they hold their own even when compared side by side with Fred’s genuine diamonds.

Are you going to spend millions on a high-end brand just to indulge yourself?! Or are you going to treat it as a grown-up pastime and enjoy aftermarket customization at a place like ours?

They’re expensive because they’re made with high-quality materials by skilled artisans. I get that, but it’s also true that among products labeled as “top-tier brands,” there are many that make me wonder if they’re really worth the price. I’m not saying that’s the case with Fred, though 😃
