A skilled watchmaker first assembles the watch completely, performs perfect adjustments, and verifies its operation—only to then disassemble the entire watch again. After that, each component undergoes further polishing and finishing, followed by the final assembly (the second assembly)
.This “double assembly” process requires a staggering amount of time and effort, as well as advanced technical skill, and is therefore virtually never practiced in modern mass-produced watches. It is a testament to the pride unique to Glashütte’s finest timepieces, ensuring perfect precision and durability that will last a lifetime.
