"Tutima Patria Dual Time"
A strategic model that offers high-quality craftsmanship at an affordable price
In 2008, Chuchima Glashütte returned to its founding location in Glashütte and, taking this opportunity, began developing its own in-house movements. The collection bearing the name “Patria”—which means “hometown” in Japanese—is equipped with Caliber 617, completed in 2013.
Positioned as a luxury line, the Patria collection had previously been available only in gold, but in 2019, the long-awaited steel version was announced. Then, in 2022, the Patria Dual Time, powered by Caliber 619, was unveiled. Compared to the classic aesthetic of the traditional gold models, the steel version exudes a distinctly more modern vibe. Only about three pieces have been imported to Japan. Please take this opportunity to visit our store and see them for yourself.

It now has an air of elegance you wouldn't expect from a steel design.

At the 6 o'clock position, a second time hand is aligned coaxially with the small seconds hand and is positioned so as not to detract from the dial's simplicity.

The see-through case back reveals the beautiful 3/4 plate—a hallmark of Glashütte—and, in accordance with Glashütte tradition, all calibers visible through the see-through case back are fully decorated.

Patria’s signature crown guard line blends seamlessly with the case, creating an elegant and pleasing impression.

Shop Owner’s Thoughts: I’m absolutely thrilled that Patria has released a Dual Time model. Here’s why: With the COVID-19 pandemic, I’ve been unable to travel overseas for business for three years now—ever since my last business trip to the Chuchima headquarters in February 2020—and I’ve been stuck in Japan ever since. Just as I was starting to feel cooped up, the ban on overseas business travel was lifted! I felt that I absolutely needed a new watch with a second time zone to finally make the trip abroad. At first glance, this Patria Dual Time appears to be a simple watch with just hour and minute hands and a small seconds sub-dial. While it offers outstanding readability and is a very common design, I’m particularly drawn to its form, which exudes a certain elegance. The fact that only about three pieces were imported into Japan—making it a rare item—is also quite appealing.
